2. Logging into iClinic

Log In:

Sign in to your MDLand iClinic account using your credentials.

Navigate to the Waiting Room:

Click on the Clock Icon on the left or the Waiting Room Tab at the top left of the screen.

Select the Patient:

Click on the patient’s name to open the Office Visit.
3. Adding a Prescription

Access the Prescription Section:

Under the Current Visit Tab, scroll down to the Prescription Section.
-
Click Edit or select Prescription from the Quick Links Bar on the left.

Add a New Prescription:
-
Click New to open the RX Editor.
-
Type the full or partial name of the medication in the search bar.
-
A list of options will appear—double-click the desired medication to select it.

Complete Prescription Details:

SIG (Directions for Use):
-
Choose from the Recommended SIG dropdown or click Edit to customize.

Use the fields for Take/Apply, Route, Frequency, and Times to create a custom SIG.

Day Supply, Quantity, and Qualifier:

Fill in the day supply (auto-calculates quantity).

Add additional text if needed.

Save the Prescription:

Click Save RX to add the medication to the patient’s chart.

A Red or Green Circle with the letter F will appear, indicating the formulary check:

Green: Medication accepted.

Red: Medication not covered.
4. Sending a Prescription

Select Medication for Sending:

Click Refresh.
-
Place a checkmark next to the medication.

Click Send eRx.
-
Verify Prescription Details:

A pop-up box will display:

Pharmacy information (if available)

Selecting a Pharmacy:

If the patient has no pharmacy on file:

Scroll down and search using the Pharmacy Search Tool.

Enter a combination of Name, ZIP Code, Address, City, or Phone Number.

Example: Type "CVS Flushing" to see all CVS pharmacies in Flushing, Queens.

Set the selected pharmacy as default by checking Set this Pharmacy as Default.
5. Prescribing Controlled Substances

Identify Controlled Substance:

Controlled substances will show the DEA Schedule at the top in Red.

DUO Code Authentication:

Obtain a DUO Code:

Open the DUO Mobile App on your smartphone.

Tap MDLand and click the Dropdown Arrow.

A 6-Digit Code will appear with a refresh button.
-
Tap Refresh to generate a new code if needed.

Enter the DUO Code:

Type the code into the designated box.
-
Send the Prescription:

Click one of the options:

Send

Send and Print

Send and Close

A confirmation message, “Sent Successfully,” will appear.
6. Managing the Active Medication List

Adding Medication to Active List:

Place a checkmark next to the medication.

Click Add to Medication List.
-
A confirmation message will appear.

Accessing Active Medications:

Click Medical History from the office visit or patient home.
-
Scroll down to Active Medication List (or Medication List).

Prescribing from Active Medication List:

Click Edit next to the medication list.
-
Select a medication and click Add to RX.

To renew, click Renew (updates the renewal date).
7. Retrieving Past Medications

Retrieve from SureScripts:

Click Retrieve from SureScripts.

Ensure the patient has given consent for this action.
8. Troubleshooting Tips

DUO Code Not Working:

Ensure you’re using a new code each time.

Tap Refresh in the DUO app if the code is outdated.

Pharmacy Not Found:

Use different combinations of search criteria (e.g., Name + ZIP Code).
