2. Accessing the Patient’s Office Visit

Log In:

Sign in to your MDLand iClinic account using your credentials.

Navigate to the Waiting Room:
-
You can access the waiting room in three ways:
-
Click on the Waiting Room Icon on the left panel.
-
Click on Waiting Room under the CCM and RPM Modules.
-
Click on the Waiting Room Tab at the top of the dashboard.
-
Select the Patient:
-
Click on the patient’s name to open their Office Visit.
3. Creating a Prescription

Access the Prescription Section:
-
In the office visit, scroll to the Prescription Section.
-
Click New to open the RX Editor.
-
Search for a Medication:
-
In the RX Editor, type the name of the medication into the search bar.
-
Press Enter on your keyboard.
-
A list of medications will appear. Double-click the medication you want to prescribe.
-
Complete Prescription Details:
-
The selected medication will load on the right side.
-
Click the dropdown next to Recommended SIG to choose an appropriate SIG.
-
Enter the Quantity and Qualifier.
-
If you fill out the Day’s Supply section, it will auto-populate the quantity.
-
To save the medication for future prescriptions:

Check the box labeled Save to My Drug List.
-
Save the Prescription:
-
Click Save RX.
-
You’ll return to the Prescription Section, where you’ll see a Red or Green “F”:

Green F: The medication matches the patient’s insurance formulary.

Red F: The medication may not be covered.
4. Sending the Prescription

Prepare the Prescription:

Click Refresh to update the prescription status.

A Green Square will appear, indicating readiness to send.
-
Send the Prescription:
-
Place a checkmark next to the medication.
-
Click Send eRx.
-
In the Send eRx Box:
-
Select the patient’s pharmacy.
-
If no default pharmacy is saved, search and select a new one.
-
Click Send.
-
Confirmation:

A message will appear in blue, confirming that the prescription was "Sent Successfully".
5. Managing Active Medications

Add to Active Medication List:

Place a checkmark next to the prescribed medication.

Click Add to Medication List.
-
Save as Template:

To create a prescription template:

Check the medications to include.
-
Click Save as Template.
-
Name the template and click Save.

Using a Prescription Template:

In the Prescription Section, look under My Drug List → Template.

Click the dropdown and select the template.
-
The prescription section will auto-populate with the medications from the template.
6. Customizing SIG (Directions for Use)

Edit SIG:

If the desired SIG isn’t listed, click Edit.

Fill out the following fields:

Day’s Supply (selected from the dropdown).
-
Take/Apply, Route, Frequency, and Times.
-
Specify units (e.g., hours, days, weeks).

The system will calculate the quantity and format the SIG accordingly.

Advanced Customization:

To further modify the SIG:

Place a checkmark in the DAW (Dispense As Written) box.

Edit the SIG in the SIG Description box as needed.

Save Custom SIG:

Check Save to My Drug List.

Click Save eRx.
