2. Accessing Referral Provider Settings 

1. Log In:  

• Sign in to your MDLand iClinic account. 

2. Navigate to Settings:  

• Click on the Settings Icon from the dashboard. 

3. Access Referral Providers:  

• Click on General. 

• Select Referral Providers. 

• A list of existing referral providers will appear. 

3. Adding a New Referral Provider 

1. Click the New Button:  

• Click New to open the Add/Update Referral Provider box. 

2. Methods to Add a Provider:  

• Search in MDLand Network: Click Search Physician in MDLand Network if the provider uses MDLand. 

• Search in SureScripts Directories: Use Search Physician in SureScripts Directories if the provider sends e-prescriptions through SureScripts. 

• Manual Entry: If unsure, fill out all required fields (marked with a red asterisk) manually. 

3. Saving the Provider:  

• After entering the information, click Save. 

4. Searching for Providers in MDLand Network 

1. Initiate Search:  

• Click Search Physician in MDLand Network. 

2. Search By Options:  

• Select from the dropdown menu:  

• Last Name 

• First Name 

• City 

• ZIP Code 

• NPI Number (most accurate method) 

3. Enter Search String:  

• Type the search term (e.g., last name) and press Enter. 

4. Selecting the Provider:  

• Double-click on the correct result. 

• The system will return to the Add/Update Referral Provider screen with pre-filled information. 

• Fill in any missing details, such as gender, and click Save. 

5. Searching Providers in SureScripts Directories 

1. Initiate Search:  

• Click Search Physician in SureScripts Directories. 

2. Search Criteria:  

• Similar to the MDLand Network search, use:  

• Last Name 

• First Name 

• Clinic Name 

• NPI Number (recommended) 

3. Verify Information:  

• Ensure the clinic name and secure direct email match the provider’s details. 

4. Add the Provider:  

• Double-click the provider to add them to your referral provider list. 

6. Manual Entry of Referral Providers 

1. Fill in Required Fields:  

• Enter details like:  

• First Name 

• Last Name 

• Clinic Name 

• Contact Information 

• NPI Number (if available) 

2. Save the Entry:  

• After completing the form, click Save. 

7. Exporting Referral Providers List 

1. Export to Excel:  

• Click Export to Excel. 

• The file will download automatically (usually appears at the bottom-left of the screen in browsers like Chrome). 

2. Open the File:  

• Click the downloaded file to open it in Excel. 

• Choose Delimited by Tab when prompted. 

8. Printing Referral Providers List 

1. Click Print List:  

• A new tab will open displaying the referral provider list. 

2. Print the List:  

• Click Print in the top-right corner of the new tab. 

9. Searching Within the Current Referral Provider List 

1. Search by Last Name:  

• Type the last name under the Current Referral Provider List section. 

• Press Enter or click Search. 

2. Search by First Name:  

• Enter the first name and press Enter or click Search. 

3. Review Results:  

• Verify if the provider is part of the MD Network or uses Secure Messaging:  

• MD Network: Indicates the provider uses MDLand. 

• Secure Message: Indicates the provider uses SureScripts with a secure direct email. 

10. Verifying Secure Communication 

• MD Network Column:  

• Displays Yes if the provider uses MDLand. 

• Secure Message Column:  

• Displays Yes if the provider can receive secure messages via SureScripts. 

11. Best Practices 

• Use NPI for Accurate Search: When possible, search by NPI number to ensure accurate provider selection. 

• Regular Updates: Periodically review and update the referral provider list.
